Stuart Spaeth, Principal at Land Link LLC, has a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and over 17 years of experience in all asset classes of real estate while specializing in land acquisition. Using intensive market analysis and developmental attributes, Stuart can quickly ascertain the asset value of a property and has a proven track record of successful real estate transactions. A creative negotiator and problem-solver, Stuart has extensive experience in land acquisition, restructuring methods, and exit strategies.
Prior to becoming a Principal with Land Link, Stuart served as the Director of Residential Acquisition at the institutional private equity firm of Klaff L.P., and as Land Acquisition Manager at D.R. Horton/Cambridge Homes, where he assisted in the identification, assemblage, negotiation, and acquisition of over $250 million of property. Earlier in his career, Stuart also represented the Union Pacific Railroad in its $22 million land assemblage for the Rochelle Global III Intermodal Terminal, the first of its kind in the Chicago area area which resulted his nomination for the 2002 NAIOP Industrial Deal of the Year Award.
With his persistent drive, resourcefulness and contacts throughout the industry, Stuart has the ability to identify hidden opportunities and convert them into successful transactions for his clients. An Illinois licensed Real Estate Salesperson, Stuart is also a former Board Member of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Chicago, International Council of Shopping Centers and Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors.
